... have already dipped into the wine) before crashing. We have a full day of Orientation and then a scavenger hunt tomorrow, so we are starting right into the hustle and bustle.

It's weird to be here. And weird to think about how this is where I'll be for the next four months. But I'm sure as classes start and I start finding a routine, it will all start to feel quite normal. I just hope I get a little bit better at French...

Empty dishwasher, set table for breakfast, pastries into the oven, serve breakfast, cooked as required, clean up, make a cake, clean communal areas, clean rooms, make beds, prep dinner, have lunch, maybe go for a ski or a walk for a few hours then back to cook dinner, clean up, head off to bed between 9pm and midnight depending on the goings on in the Chalet. ... is a city deep in gray scale - the mist off the lake mutes most of the buildings to white or dull stone colors, and I have yet to see a local wearing anything but black. Even the other study abroad students seem to all be wearing black, while I am very warm but not particularly sleek or urban in my turquoise coat and cargo ski pants.

... which moves at a brisk 130km/hr and never seems to be jammed. However we were a little taken back at the first toll booth, after less than an hour on the road with the bill of nearly 20 Euro.
