Rockin' all the way to the Airport

Oh boy... Dario Enriques, his broseph Mauro, and I went out for a last shabang before going to school. With all my bags ready to go and a 5am pick up, we headed out for the night. We went to Kings club in Vila Alice - it had some really good live music. The drummer I had actually met before. They played Kizomba and all I could think was I need to ...

In and Out

I returned to Angola and had about a week there. Before I could enjoy myself again, I was out back in the field on another job. My boss's boss came to me and asked, "Kyle, you learned how to program gauges in school, right?" "Yes that's correct." "Now were going to send you to Mozambique for a simple gauge job. Can you do it?" you bet your sweet ass I can - I'm going to Mozambique... oh yeah!!

Early Flight

We head out on our TAP flight early in the morning, finally returning home to Luanda midday. Burity says, "I'm gonna drink beers all the way back to Vianna." I said, "no, point in stopping now, I'm coming with you." We drop off all the SLB employees at they're houses first - vianna is the furthest away. First we take a quick trip to the base. I say hey to Doug Jordan, we drive to my house to drop my stuff off and to change really quick, then on to vianna.

Dinner at the Boss's Haus

When I arrived, I intended on going offshore; yet, due to a lack or work, I remain onshore. This change does have its perks. I was able to enjoy one of the luxuries of working on land this past Saturday. We finished work early, and our boss invited us to a BBQ. His house is closer to the city than ours. It sits in a very safe part of town - being that one neighbor is the Prime Minister of Angola. Upon our arrival, I could see my boss Colin standing ...
