An overnight flight from Toronto to Copenhagen on Air Canada 787 Dreamliner in premium economy. It was a separate cabin with 21 seats, quite a comfortable way to travel. After just over 7 hour flight and a 2.5 hour layover arrived in Vilnius late afternoon with a 7 hour time change. Picked up by a driver who obviously spoke no English and did not even say hello but delivered us efficiently to the hotel. First impression of the Kempinski on Cathedral Square was very positive. ... celebrations from the locals and one guy even buying everyone in the bar a shot. We spent the remainder of the game praying for more goals! The game finished 1-0 and we then made a hasty escape before the karaoke began!

The following day was our last in Vilnius. We spent the day generally walking round the Old Town, discovered what appeared to be an abandoned church and also revisited the Republic of Uzupis. We had to move hostel as we hadn’t ...

... to find everyone getting ready to go back out: In the summertime on weekend nights, there are open-air movies played in the square by the Town Hall. I shrugged and tagged along, glad for the distraction. The movie they were showing was Two Faces of January, in English with Lithuanian subtitles. The movie was terrible, by the way, in case you were thinking of seeing it. But it was pretty cool to watch a movie outside with the Old Town as a backdrop. Great venue. Of course, the ...
