... This was great. I didn’t have to take the computer out. They didn’t check our liquids and we didn’t have to take our shoes off. It was a breeze. We got to the gate very early - an hour and 45 minutes before boarding time. As I was sitting waiting I sneezed. I have a very loud sneeze. I didn’t even think it was so bad but everyone at the gate turned and looked at me.

The flight wouldn’t have been too bad except we were delayed an hour ...

I went for a run along the beach in the morning and took some photos along the way. There was an interesting mix of runners and trashed people who had been out all night partying. I had to jump over vomit more than once. We visited Fundacio Joan Miro and the Picasso Museum in the morning. Both were fantastic! (apart from the coffee and croissants at Joan Miro). This was week two of Six Nations 2014 with Ireland vs Wales first and then Scotland vs England later. We’d walked past an Irish bar on the way to the hotel and after popping back into the Almirante to get our room sorted out we went to see whether Ireland needed our support. Today was a free day in Barcelona. Pretty much our first day that we didn't have anything planned. Today was just a go with the flow day. Had breakfast at around 8:30. Then we walked down La Rumbla and did some souvenir shopping. We walked to the end a port type thing.
