Drooling over all the jewels and the ornate art, furniture, architectural delights and walking has made us quite hungry. We don't venture far from the Residenz and eat at Spatenhaus am der Oper. Surprisingly, we were seated in the cozy Stammtisch (table reserved for regular customers). Biers are ordered first thing and then there is much joking about the menu translations from German to English. Most of the food sounds just horrible! ...

... said I've seen it, but for anyone travelling to Munich with little time to spare, I would cut it off the list. For sure marienplatz is an awrsome square to check out and the building is awesome but the actual show is not really worth your time.
