Onwards to find the Dolomites
... best of places but it’s better than having to sleep out in a tent in the freezing cold. As we rather high up here and just under the Dolomites it appears to be getting rather cold outside so I wonder how much ice I will have to scrape off my poor bike in the morning.
Tomorrow I will hopefully make it to Cortina and onwards to the wonderful hotels on lake Misurina. I just pray that one of these hotels will be open and after that it’s time to start heading back to cold and wet ...
Info for my travel blog
Left padova train to Verona from there suppose to be a fast train to Bolzano, yes it broke down so were put on normal fast regional train, bugger, only ended up 30mins longer somehow normally 90 mins. I really enjoyed the ride and felt rather chuffed I had made it to the top of one of Europe’s hardest roads without dropping my bike, which ...
Starting the dolomite way
... Austria. Everything is written in German, Italian and english. We ate dinner and had a great pizza and an amazing apple strudel for dessert (see the Facebook photo!) unfortunately for us we didn't have enough time to wander its small streets and boutique shops, as tomorrow we are having a most exciting day - driving on the grand dolomite way. Since the weather forecast predicted also heavy rain in the are, this will be even more of an adventure! Wish me luck not to fall off a ...
