... The Older church is no longer used but well maintained. It has exposed original mosaic flooring in places and frescos cove parts of the walls,. Some of these are in fairly good condition. The amazing thing about this artwork is that during the second world war the entire building was destroyed in a bombing, except for the one wall with the painting on. They have now rebuilt around it and created a high tech temperature controlled room to keep it safe from decay.
