Yesterday left Positano. We took a shuttle to Salerno then picked up a car from Avis. The coast road from Positano to Salerno was truly breathtaking and the driver quite friendly and tried to explain a few sights along the way. Headed south and stopped at some Greek ruins in Paestrum which dated back to BC. Weather a little cold and rainy or we probably would have stayed longer. Took the scenic root to Marina di Camerota. I have a few days to catch up on. No wifi in Sorrento so no blog. An amazing drive from Lecce to Maratea - such dramatic mountains and valleyys and such winding roads. We stopped on the way to view some 5 th century bc ruins. Maratea in retrospect was a lovely area - a quieter version of Amalfi.
