... the sun beating down on it.

San Vicente looks like a lovely little town, so it's a shame we won't be able to see more of it, but we're making as much progress as we can while the wind's in our favour. Our fridge isn't working at the moment, so we're hot-footing it to A Coruna as quickly as we can so we can get it fixed. Besides, the weather will improve still further once we round the north west corner of Spain.

... as every time we turned a corner it turned with us so it was constantly right on our nose. However, the fog we ran into after two hours was the real problem. At first we thought it was just low-lying cloud, but as we got closer and it loomed larger and larger like a loomy thing we could see it skimming along the coast, moving quickly towards us, and it quickly became clear we were about to sail right into thick fog. ... sun came out and dried our tent off just in time to pack it away.
It is sad to leave the camp ground and Santander. We love it here.
We decided we could save some money and walk to the bus stop of the second bus we needed to catch. It was a nice walk and it was warm!!!! Hopefully the warm weather stays with us.

It was another perfect day when we woke. Bread and Nutella for breakfast then we put our swimmers on and set off to enjoy the day. We walked the coast line, stopping at each little beach and headland to take photos and chill out with the other beach loving locals. There were dogs running around everywhere, topless and wrinkly, leather skinned old ladies sun baking, groups of people playing paddle ball, and picnics set up where large families were all gathered around gazebos ...

The people speak super fast here, and we soon became very aware that our small amount of self taught Spanish wasn't going to get us far. We can ask questions but have no idea what the person says when they answer. The first time we could ask and also understand the reply was exciting.
