... the line had an issue on that track. We had to transfer to an intercity train. This put us into Amsterdam only 1 1/2 hours later than intended and since the guy at the bed and breakfast would be waiting we decided to take a cab from the train station. That still cost less than their 30 Euro fee for the Belgian train! What are they thinking, their train is a special as their chocolate? Not likely. Anyway, time for bed. There was beautiful woodwork and etchings all around and the staircases were nearly vertical! I had pea soup, pepper veal and pancakes and Mitch had ham and goats cheese plate, smoked salmon and pancakes as well. All traditional Dutch food and a ...

... me a hefty $200 fee for that leg of the trip so I left my $50 rebuilt board on the island! In an attempt to avoid more baggage fees I then re-sized the bag to fit a 146x44 cm twin tip. American Airlines then managed to lose my bag in route to Costa Rica. When it finally showed up 3 days later from Quito, Ecuador, it smelled like a donkey had ****** on it but all of my gear was intact and I paid nothing in fees! By this time, the handles on my bag looked like they were about to ...
