-----In the villages, round women led "gaidhuri" (donkeys) through a maze of chalk-white walls and bright blue doors and windows. White steps led up and down, and beneath arches; on the steps had been painted blue shells, dolphins, suns, snails, puppies, etc. The round women stopped to greet me, even though my Greek was ...

It was really good, and the waiter said I was the best at speaking Italian out of all of us (never letting them forget that!). We had desert, tiramisu, then we went back to the hotel and went to sleep. Bye!

Luca collected his other car in Reggio and he drove us the short distance to the bus station where in 15 minutes we caught a beautiful bus for the price of €11 for the 2 of us. The bus dropped us off at Gioisi Ionica and Giovanna came and picked us up. This is about 10 minutes from Locri.

Last night was a quiet night by ...
