    ... several restaurants throughout Portugal. Though it is widely offered on the menu, we were the only people we saw, actually ordering sushi. The rest of the people in the restaurant had Japanese fondu, Kobe steak, and tempura. Coming from California, we are used to having both fresh fish and creative sushi.     Our day started early and with a bit of stress as we had intended to wake up at 6:30am, eat breakfast at our hotel and then catch the Metro to our train station (Oriente). Instead, my alarm failed to sound and we were very lucky that I woke up at 7:15 and rushed everyone into getting ready in record time.     We went for an afternoon cycle to look at the beach but wind was very strong still and not suitable for me.     ... sunny. Siesta today as was really hot!!! Went for swim in dumping waves... Brought back half the beach with me but felt lovely. Lovely dinner out... The lady was lovely and so surprised when we said we were from NZ. She went to tell her husband behind the bar and when she came back she said that he had said that NZ was by Sth America.
