... some 10kms we came across a dyke that protects Denmark from the Baltic Sea. It appears that besides Holland, both Germany and Denmark are making use of dykes to drain and reclaim agricultural land from the sea.

... a coffee and a Belgian waffle smeared with vanilla ice cream. Oh my goodness! It was absolutely divine (and entirely fat free!!) We wandered back via Netto as the other supermarkets were shut. We suddenly remembered it's bank holiday so that might explain the empty town too. A couple of bits and back to camp for hand washing of smalls and a mega sunbathing session.
