... Mountains is part of the larger Sudetes range. Its highest peak is Sniezka which stands on the border between the Poland and Czech Republic - at a height of 1602 meters above sea level. The mountains are wonderful for trekking and ski. Large areas of the mountains are preserved as National Park.

The day after crossing back into Poland, we stopped in Wollmierz. If the Eagle's were European, this would have been their Hotel California. Greeted by smiles and tea, unfortunately no pink champagne, we toured this defunct train station now offering daily departures in puppet theatre, oil painting, and welding junk. .
