Today we took the S-Bahn to the University and I showed her where I go to class and where my institute is. Then we took the scenic walk back to the Altstadt, through the parks and along the river. We got supplies for the feast and headed back to Weststadt to help out. Surprisingly everything turned out ok. We played basketball and football before everything was finished ...
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiepWe headed to the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof to get tickets back to Braunshweig. We stopped in Hannover for 1 hour and we quickly walked through some of the shopping section. We were tired when we finally arrived so we hung out in my room for a while just relaxing. We hung out with all of the URI students in Weststadt and it was a lot of fun.
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiepThere was going to be part of a German tv show filmed in the main area in front of the Schloss. The show is called "Wetten, dass?" and it basically is a betting game where someone comes on the show and they bet that they can complete some sort of ridiculous task. If they do, the contestants from each bet get the chance to win something, this time it was an Audi. The show was actually filmed in the VW Halle some distance from Braunschweig and they had performers like the Black ...
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiepI went to get coffee in the Schloss with Wendy then we shopped around for some costumes. Wendy was a Berliner Kindl kid which was so cute!! I was Mutti (a mom) apron, wooden spoon and bandaids. Drew was an army cook with the huge fly swater or a burger flipper from the Euro store, Shawn was Santa Claus. Mason was a contractor. Dave was some creepy guy with a top hat. They don't really have very ...
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiepIt was a beautiful day outside so Wendy and I decided to take a walk in the Nature conservatory area on the edge of the city. It took a long time to get there (40 minutes) but we walked around for about 2 hours and saw some beautiful landscape. It was nice to get away from the city and enjoy the Fall colors.
That night there was a volleyball event at the Sports-zentrum. Soth, Steve, Shawn, Drew and I went to just ...
... there was a short breakfast and then Wendy and I went to go pick up our Visa's. We are now officially allowed to be in Germany for 1 year! We hung around Friday night and baked wurst in onions, cauliflower and peppers and also made mashed potatoes, it was amazing!!
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiep... of a car, from the body shop where they cut out the pieces from the metal from Salzgitter and then mold it using lots of pressure. Then they weld certain pieces together with awesome machines that reminded me of some scary movies but were extremely efficient. Each car runs along a chain track throughout its production. There were a few buildings that were over 2 km long!
After our 2 hour tour ...
... part of the village and went to eat, ate a Döner box. Then we walked to the Herzog-August-Biblothek and Lessinghaus for a tour by Librarians. It was very interesting and you could tell that these Women knew so much since they are surounded by books all day everyday. Then we took the bus back to Braunschweig. The village was easy to get to and I would definitely go back!

After the guided tour it was back to the hotel for a quick drink in the bar watching the preparations in the harbour for the various floating exhibits for the launch of the new Polo.
Then a quick shower and out for a steak at one of the many restaurants in the complex.
... machine because it worked so well in the Czech Republic. So, she typed in a different word. Her result was "the bidet is leaking." We were confident that no greeting card would say such things, and our card was in fact a wedding card. However, Ray realized that he had used the translator at the store when he asked for a gift receipt. The result was an 18-letter word that really puzzled the store clerk. The day after the wedding was relaxing. We watched ...
