Clean and very neat but also very noisy

Very clean and tidy hotel and rooms and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. However there was one big downfall and that seems to be the semi-permanent residents such as students etc who stay here. They are in and out the front door every 5 minutes right through the night to smoke etc outside and every time they use the front door they simply slam it and the whole building shakes. Its now 1am and they are still at it. makes one wonder if they are in competition with each other to see who can slam it the hardest. There was certainly no getting to sleep in this place!! Other than the door it was a great place to stay with wifi and all.

Our last day in Bremen. Had breakfast with Horst. After he went to work we packed our bags. We tidied as much as possible as the cleaner, Maria, was coming from 2-4pm today. We walked into Bremen and had lunch with Horst at the 'Stadt Wirt' restaurant. After lunch Ron and I walked in the Bürger Park until ...

A lazy morning. Had breakfast with Horst, did some washing and trip planning. It is a rainy day and only 17 degrees. We walked the 3km to Horst's Office then off to lunch at La Bottega Italiana. Spoke with the owner Rudolfo about the photos on his wall. The favourite of Ron's is an Italian actress, Liana Orfei, who was a famous dominatrix and known for starring in Hercules movies and being a circus tiger tamer in the movies. After lunch we walked around ...

After a late and leisurely breakfast we headed off for another country walk. We drive through Worpswede, the Artist Village to the Neu Helgoland nature reserve. Normally it is full of ducks and bird life but not today. We had a cake break at the Melkhus (Milk House - Friesland dialect similar to Netherlands language). They make diary products from their own cows. I had a Holunder Milkshake. Just ...

... for it to pass. We drove to Teufelsmoor and Günnesmoor and walked for two hours in the nature reserve. A beautiful walk along the channel and walking path created in the swamp lands in 2012. The reserve is a haven for birds and in particular ducks. Next we drove to the Schleuse Restaurant for Kräusen beer and an early dinner. ...

Breakfast then off to cycle the dairy farmlands. We cycled for 30km through the Bremen Bürgerpark and on the Blockland track in the dairy farmland area. We stopped at the bio-Milch farm for homemade organic icecream. 1.20 Euro per scoop. We arrived back at the railway station in Bremen about 2.30pm and returned the bicycles. I bought the latest Marian Keyes book in English. Off home to shower and get ready for our big night in Bremerhaven for the ...
