Very clean and tidy hotel and rooms and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. However there was one big downfall and that seems to be the semi-permanent residents such as students etc who stay here. They are in and out the front door every 5 minutes right through the night to smoke etc outside and every time they use the front door they simply slam it and the whole building shakes. Its now 1am and they are still at it. makes one wonder if they are in competition with each other to see who can slam it the hardest. There was certainly no getting to sleep in this place!! Other than the door it was a great place to stay with wifi and all.

Today I awoke early and as I had lots of miles to cover I decided to have a

As is almost a tradition, I once again returned to Bremen this winter for a good old catch up with my besties in Germany.
Having only got back from Israel around 2½ weeks earlier, and almost exactly repeating the trip from 2012, I flew out on a Thursday afternoon from Stansted and returned on the Monday night - However this time as I was working, I did a half day in the morning, before driving and parking at the airport, ...
Much too quickly, the last days of our stint in Bremen came and went. We dusted off the suitcases and started packing, cleaned up our apartment and said goodbyes to Eddie's cousins, our favourite places, and some fantastic memories. I know for Eddie, Bremen is home, and I love the town just as much. It is the perfect size. It has everything we need, lots of vegan cafes and restaurants, but it isn't a huge, big city. Bremen still seems like a town, just ...
... Word for 30/6: chores
Sunday turned into chore day, as we had washing, cleaning and handy-maning to do to fix and fit our new supplies. After an update from the Millburn’s on skype, and with the weather turning grey, we headed closer to Bochum so we’d be close by when the store opened 9am Monday – gosh we sound lame, but the lack of shower really was a burden that we needed to fix!
We ended up in another ...
... Express coach eventually turned up only to be full of Espanish! Bringing back 'fond' memories of my Erasmus experience. At Stansted I bought some small prezzies for my German hosts, as well as a Terry's Chocolate Orange to serve as Dinner/Weird English food pressies for the next few days....realising opening on the plane might mean the chocolate was stuck together and could not be eaten, I decided that it would probably be best to try and 'tap' the orange ...
