    ... to my dismay. I would have preferred the 8.45 bus so I could feel confident we could sleep and catch the bus in the morning without worrying about being late. Ash however wanted to arrive in São Paulo earlier because of the dangers of being at a terminal so late. And Rach wanted the earlier bus because it was cheaper. We waved our fond farewells to Sergio and the Black Swan, (a rogue Irish sports bar) before trekking off to the bus station to make our way into Uruguay.     ... cheated death. As soon as possible I managed to exit the motor way and was back on my way to the south if the island. The next beach I stopped at was my favourite. A giant expanse of white sand framing the ocean. Jutting out of the sea about a mile off shore was an island which made the view something really special.
