Tom and Sue took the day to zip to Bilbao (1:45 south of Biarritz) to see the famous Guggenhiem Museum. Wow, what a building!! The exhibits pale in comparison, but still we enjoyed a solid 4 hours at the museum. Afterwards, we drove back to San Sebastian where Sue introduced me to Alona Berri, the ...
Biarritz, Aquitaine, France kramertownI don't really need to tell you what we did do I? Take one part playground, one part beach, and one part sunset and you have a Kramer day in Biarritz.
... Dispite the language barriers they had a lovely time exploring the basque country side. What did we do? Why go to the beach, of course!!
... the kids slept. Tom did a little surfing and another nice sunset was enjoyed during dinner.
... only look good. After our first night, we realized they sit out on the bar all day, so who knows how long they sit there. I had a horrible stomac ache after our first night... no wonder. For our second tapas experience, we ordered off the menu and we had Kanguroo Tacos and Shark. It was absolutely delicious.

... things here, but was content just to stick to the foie gras with apple compote, which was the main reason I came here. The raciones are too big to have more than one of them.

... just a couple of minutes from the harbour and the beautiful swathe of beach...that makes up the Bahia de la Concha.... Its a great location except if you are driving.
The next morning i have breakfast in Constitution Square ...a nice airy square which is a good place to get your bearings. The toast was the thickest piece Ive ever eaten and the friendly waiter kindly made up my thermos for me ...
So, we left Santiago and road tripped back along the camino to Rabanal Del Canino, the place we met up with our friends Lenny and Andrea. It was strange to see pilgrims walking the route we had walked just days later but we remembered how we felt at times and that when we got a toot from passing cars, itd lift our spirirts....so we tooted at everyone, hanging out of the car shouting encouragement. The looks of pain on some faces reminded us of those tough times ...
San Sebastián - Donostia, Spain gregdedman... where there are very few openings (the openings are the few exit points, there aren't many of them and they are fenced off so that the bulls can't charge through them). There are 3 rockets that go off. The first one signals that the first bull is out of the pen at the start, this happens at 8am. The 2nd rocket moments later means the last bull has left the pen. Once leaving the pen, the bulls charge down the streets towards the ...
Pamplona, Spain chuckonearth... which just kept bringing out hot fresh food, so it was great. It's the dodgy ones that have the food sitting there for 8 hours before you eat it which you have try and avoid. San Seb was really loud at night. It is very much a party town and people are out all night and all morning. It is full of tiny streets with little shops and Tapas bars. It's a fun place but was overshadowed a bit for us by the **** weather.
