... side of the bridge? Huh? Good laugh anyway.

Crossed a number of Lari traps - the round pipe ones - fark, these ones freaking roll as you walk over them! Now that's playing dirty! Eventually see the village in the distance. Can almost smell coffee. Just some confusion between notes and markers meaning we stuck to trail and walked about 1.5km more than necessary but finish into town over a 14th century bridge. Check it out. Nowhere near the quality of ...

... 8364;25 and the Albergue was going to cost €32. And seriously at this point my body is exhausted for the 23/24kms of rain and cold and supporting and mentally mindful of looking after and nursing this stupid ankle! Quiet rest sounded good.

Found a bar with wifi (and my Camino friends this is not as frequent as the Frances with many towns being one wifi towns) checked emails and FB as we do but couldn't stand it any lo get it was sooooo cold even though ...

Give us a key for the Albergue door. One room for 2 , one room for 7, that is all. Fantastic kitchen and large dining room. Includes a washing machine which we needed today. €12 for both of us and includes the washing machine at no extra. Are you kidding? That's about $16 for accommodation and washing. We'll play! SCORE! Still gobsmacked that this Camino has so much in the way of rooms for two! So suits this ...

... may be a girl but at least I know what freaking direction I am travelling. Had a really good giggle on this one. The girl isn't stupid!

A few hitos today and at one point while still in darkness there was a marker for the Camino and a marker for the Roman road. Hmmmm we thought briefly and decided to take the Camino. Didn't trust the Roman road as we got lost on it the other day or more to the point it disappeared into a field and there was nowhere to ...

... we had headed south for the sun - the forecast for Burgos was for snow - 3c !! On reaching Burgos the weather was wet and sleety. Señor y la señora parked up - hot footed it to the renowned Cathedral and burial place of El Cid and made a note to return in warmer times.

I am used to the procedure when we park up near a large city - Señora gives me half an apple, a bowl of water and announces "We're off shopping - won't be long"!!! She thinks I'm daft - I ...
