We arrived from Lucca just in time for a sublime sunset... it was like the sky was on fire!! See photos!!
I was a bit pooped so I opted to stay in the scoobs reading and relaxing while Kim headed into the village to scope it out.
Next morning started with a beautiful sunrise which was quickly replaced by some storm clouds. Fortunatly the storm passed over without parting with a drop of rain and we had sun again when we both headed ...
Volterra, Tuscany, Italy darrenhough74Hello everyone,
We had such fun today!! The square had it's first ever market day or flea market. It was filled with cheeses which by the way Percino was our favorite and the fresh sliced procuitto was unbelievable. We just walked around all day. The first part of the day we did two loads of wash and dry which cost $18 us dollars. Then we had wine free and paid and had a great time. We then came back to ...
Siena, Tuscany, Italy lucy1279... our salami and cheese and looked at the beautiful landscape. We then played cards in the small hallway of our B&B and drank some beer and met Allen and Theresa from California. I was getting ready to beat Mick's ass so we quit playing and talked to them. Anyway, since we spent our Euros with the meat market we had to go to the corner and get 2 slices of pizza for 6.50 euros and that came with a Cola. Each piece was the biggest piece of pizza we ever ...
Siena, Tuscany, Italy lucy1279... Once it is finished and the black screen appears again do not close out as now you can hit the white arrow and watch it without interruption because it is fully downloaded. So hit the arrow the first time and walk away then come back and when it is the black screen again hit the arrow and you won't have any interruptions.
Chow
Siena, Tuscany, Italy lucy1279... if we were on the right bus for Via Del Tozzi, they said, "no, no". Now what? So I went back up to the driver and he told me "momento". I waited and a few minutes later we came to a stop and he told us to wait for #5. Then he parked the bus right there and walked off. We thought he said 50 minutes. Whew, we did not know what to do. We were looking at the schedule on the wall in Italian ...
Siena, Tuscany, Italy lucy1279... good luck. Seems like a desperate attempt to make a sh*tty situation better. Ha.

Maybe it was a good omen, though, because we had an amazing dinner. We walked into this restaurant just outside of Il Campo, and all over the tables, freshly made pasta was still drying. Needless to say, I ate some of the best ravioli I’ve ever had that night. But I’m thanking Rick for that – not the pigeon.

Siena, Tuscany, Italy orko... as a weapon !) and ended up needing to get stitches when we got to Bologna. Long story short, we found out that Italian hospitals are indeed actually free, and they could care less to see if you have insurance or anything. After that we had a nice lunch in Bologna, and I came back to Padova. Ok, more later. Ciao ciao ciao! complete pictures here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php ?aid=2383630&l=d1dc7&id=1236996
Siena, Tuscany, Italy viaggiatore87... home it is usually about 4:00. 18 - 20th April Last weekend I went to Florence with Pam, a woman from Canada I have met here. We caught the bus up Friday after school (1hour) checked in to our hotel (which I had booked cheap over the internet) and in no time were in the queue to see David. It was Pam's first time so was fantastic to see her reaction when she saw him. We only had to stand in the line for ...
Siena, Italy caroladele... rights for the 364 days left in the year. I would miss the race, which only takes place twice a year, but the energy around this Campo radiates from the last race. Cafes and bleachers line the perimeter where tourists walk the track and take oodles of photos. Also in the center is the Duomo. Beautiful white and black marble façade, frescoed interior, fully equipped with baptistery, crypts and museum. I opted for the Cathedral and just ...
