... as the rain really started. Later on a woman from a house nearby came and collected 6e for our overnight stay.
We were both glad to get an early night as we were both still suffering with heavy colds and hacking coughs.

We were both awake in the night and heard a lone plane droning overhead - and wondered if it was .......Richard Todd?!!

... café at the bottom of the cascades was already open, but there were only a few crazy winter joggers around. The view back up to the top was amazing, but we had much more to discover. You can sort of imagine what it must be like in the summertime, when the water is cascading all the way down, but in winter it was also cool. AfhU

Not far away were some waterfalls, which look awesome ...

I realise that Kathleen is probably not cut out for life here. Everyone abides by the rules, waits for the "little green man" before crossing the road etc, waiting is not really Kathleen's forte. The problem is, the local population obey the rules, and, assume everyone else will, so, when you get a "wild card" potential disaster beckons.
