We were planning to go to Liechtenstein but thought we may as well as it was sort of on our way. It's the worlds 6 smallest country so it would have been rude not to go..haha.

We didn't drive to the main town but to another.. where really there wasn't anything. I did get a photo with the tourist sign though. Had to somehow prove I'd been there!
Liechtenstein, Liechtenstein emmasadventures...

Obersaxen, Switzerland acgwhale... familiar green Series Land Rover travelling in the opposite direction. It was Gaz and Charlotte in the Lean Green Recycled macnine!! Of course we stopped and turned round, and they did the same.

We were wondering why on earth they were on that road, but we soon found out they were on the way back towards Calais. The night before, things had proved too much for their motor, and they had problems ...
Landquart, Switzerland dirtyweekenders... found a spot. Touris tat and postcards were the first stop. Luckily the little kiosk took Euros - we hadn't thought of that! But he didn't sell stamps, and directed us towards the post office. They took Euro notes, but gave change in Swiss francs, which seemed a bit odd. Anyway, no choice, so the cards got posted. At ast we were back on track.
The way back to the car park ...
Vaduz, Vaduz, Liechtenstein dirtyweekenders... Feldkirch I got lost. Actually I was just trying to get to McDonald's because the group wanted a bathroom break and the public toilets here were not to our standards. Anyway, I drove past the McDonald's twice - once my fault and once the navigator's - and drove down a pedestrian only section of road before we gave up and continued on our journey out of town and deeper into Austria.
Feldkirch, Austrian Alps, Austria travelingdivaWork has been quite slow lately so since I had nothing better to do today, I took a train to Sargans, Switzerland, and then waited for a bus to Vaduz, Liechtenstein. I missed the bus that left 4 minutes after I arrived. By missed, I mean I couldn't find it until I saw it driving past me. And there are only two or three bus stands in Sargans at the train station, so it was completely due to a lack of intelligence on my part.

Once I ...
Vaduz, Liechtenstein travelingdiva... with Switzerland, yet it is officially a country of its own. It's so small that I stayed about a third of the way down the country from the capital (with one town in between), yet could still walk to the centre in about an hour. After investigating the "capital" for all of a couple of hours and not really discovering much of interest (aside from a couple of scupltures and a castle being renovated) I went to bed (well, tent) early with the intention of getting an ...
Vaduz, Liechtenstein mrconfusedWe caught the bus back down from Malbun to Vaduz and had lunch before setting out on a trip down to Schellenberg. Caught a bus to Schaan then on to Schellenberg and went in search of the Schellenberg ruins. We couldn't find them as there weren't any signs to tell you where they were. When we got back to the bus stop we found out that we had given up a short distance from the ruins! Caught the bus back to Schaan passing through the village ...
Schellenberg, Liechtenstein tyga... villages. I took pictures from the bus and am hoping that they come out so that we can share them with you. We simply will not be able to describe the views. Heaven on earth! We disembarked in Tiefencastel to catch the train to St. Moritz. Again, I just can’t say enough about the scenery. The train ride to St. Moritz is indescribable. I know I’ve used the term before, but again it’s true! Riding the train in the mountains, going higher and higher, the mountains ...
St. Moritz, Swiss Alps, Switzerland pemalak... apparently has a stronger constitution than I do!) Once I was on the path winding up the mountain though, I was fine. Spectacular view from up here, looking down on the valley. Took what I believe to be some good camera shots, I just hope that they come out so that I can share this experience with the others. On our way back down to town, there was a little church along the trail, so we decided to stop in and check it out. We discovered that it was a Catholic church, and ...
