we loved this hotel. we booked an apartment, and found it had everything we wanted and needed. It was very quaint, had character and loads of space. just beautiful and couldn't say enough about it. breakfast was great too, and the trams were very handy to get into Prague. a very memorable stay and didn't want to leave.

After I was done packing, we had the horrible task of carrying our bags up the giant hill to Jacy and Grace's. The 2 bags probably totaled about 75 pounds and that is not fun to roll up a cobblestone street at midnight. By the time we got there we were both exhausted. It is worth it though, because our bags are now safely with our Czech friend Jan until we go back ...

We then travelled by tram to Újezd LD, where we took a cable cart upto Petřín LD, which is located next to the Eiffel Tower's step sister, the Petrin Tower. The Petrin Tower was built in 1891, and is only 63.5m high, with the viewing platform about 50m high or 299 steps. It cost 120 Czech koruna to get ...

We took the afternoon pretty easy, just checking around the city (which is very easy to do by foot by the way) and strolled down St Wenceslas square which was the most modern looking part of the city. We finished off the day by having dinner at a nearby restaurant, which was quite nice. I can’t say that I enjoyed Czech cuisine much, its way too hearty for me.

It has been 8 years since I've lived in England, so my accent has almost completely faded, or so I thought... As we spent the two days touring the city with them Brian started to notice my old accent come out and by the end of the final evening there I was feeling like a fully fledged Brit ...
