Sightseeing from Lake Bled

In the afternoon we did another optional tour "Visit to the Postojna Caves" a heritage listed site, taken my train underground then a 90 minute walk through the caves of natural limestone sculpture. This was a fantastic tour and well worth the money, all up 5 and a half hours although we couldn't take photos inside the caves. We've had the buffet dinner in the hotel each night included with Trafalgar Tours.

Beautiful Lake Bled
... verandah overlooking the beautiful lake. A walk around the lake afterwards was very enjoyable, plenty of swans and ducks.
Slovenia is a small but beautiful country, it is mainly forests and the favourite past time in Summer is trekking and in Winter it's sking, mushrooms grow wild and are a favourite meal, got mushroom soup for the entree everytime.

Road Trip to Postonja- 1st stop Celje
... The castle had some re-enactment actors that were teaching some tourists how to shoot a bow and arrow. It was a nice a castle with a great view of the city. But let's face it, it was a castle, just like a lot of the other one's we have seen. I am still glad we got to see Celje, but it is definitely not a town required to spend more than a couple of hours in. Once we left the castle we were on our way to the Skocjan to see our first cave in Slovenia. ...

In places like this, where the water was calm, it was so green and yet so clear, you could see the bottom of the riverbed, along with the fish that were swimming there.
