... modern with stainless vats etc. In the basement they aged the wine in huge oak barrels for 2-3 years. The smell of fermenting wine was incredibly strong and not really very nice. We were slightly concerned to see gas masks hanging near the door but I guess it happens. Their best wine, Ovello, was lovely and having drunk some with dinner last night I had to buy a few bottles. He tells me it will keep for 15 years ...

Suddenly a common face pulled up on a scooter. It was Paolo. He sat down and had a drink with us. Then we were joined by another guy named Davide (he used to work with Davide too) until we realised how late it was and that tomorrow we had to wake up at 6am because we were going to VENICE!!! :D

Instead of leaving straight away we walked into town along the lake front and the sun was hitting the cliffs on the other side which made for great photos. This place is a meka for cycling and mountain biking, and lots of the camp was full of keen enthusiasts. Its great to see so many cycling. I woke up late again today. Simone was eating downstairs and Davide was getting ready to leave. He was visiting his mum in hospital. I didn't go for 2 reasons. Didn't want to intrude and I dislike hospitals. So I stayed home. Before heading back to work, Simone called out to tell me that I could eat the leftover lasagne. SCORE!
I reheated it and watched some more movies. Lasagne seriously is the best dish ever.
