... in the wrong direction which she found out once she asked someone for directions, she blamed this on us because she apparently walked over the bridge so many times she forgot where she came from. When she finally had her bearings she took us the square where we met with the group and luckily still had time for the gondola rides. Easy, if a little pricey train to Venice today, it was one of the newer quick ones so very comfortable though. Arrived in Venice and was struck by how... venetian it all looks! There can be no other other place on the planet that looks the same.

Miraculously made it to my hostel without getting significantly lost, really nice place with free breakfast and walking distance to the main happenings of ...

Our last day in Venice was overcast but still fairly warm - perfect weather for a ghost tour! We made our way into Venice in the afternoon (after a morning of relaxing) and spent our time just exploring more of the alleyways and canals before meeting up for our tour at 8pm. I had ...

... least gave me an idea of the skill required to make genuine pieces, and why they cost as they do. For instance the skill required to get 3 little bubbles of air to come out of a fish's mouth, opposed to bubbles everywhere in the cheaper version. It also helps when you look at the cheap fakes- probably machine made, no skill required.

I have been watching a lot of Italian TV lately, no choice really but I had a bit of a scare yesterday. I was working on ...
