... one of the trains by 5 minutes which was extremely unfortunate as next wasn't until 5:25 we then tried to see what other trains we could take and eventually found one where we take two trains but get to Venice at a good time. So we had about an hour to continue wondering around. We then came across this store which was very popular and we weakened into buying this ice cream thing that looked delicious, and my dad bought a spritz which is a very common drink. ...

... and more in Venice. Frank and I agreed that Florence was a little too much art and less history for our taste. Though we're glad we went, we will probably skip Florence on our next trip and spend more time in Venice.

This is our last full day in Venice as tomorrow we pack and leave at 1200!

The things left on the list include Doge's Palace, San Marco Square, the Rialto Bridge, the Bridge of Sigh, Murano Island for glass blowing and Burarno Island for lace making. Just to name a few!

You get bang for your buck in terms of how many places you visit in such a short time but we really only scratch the surface. We had an hour- 20 mins to walk from coach to Tower and surrounding buildings, 20 mins to eat a packed lunch, struggle thru crowds to take pictures, find a toilet, and 20 min  walk back. It's full on. HOWEVER... we ...

... polizia and fire boat stayed longer but we think they were ************...A small boat left pulling another small boat and there were about 6 people in that first boat.

All that in one day! So eventful! We headed to bed knowing we had to be off the boat by 9:00.

Will catch-up tomorrow in Barcelona for the second half of our adventure!
