A day of cold and hot
... has a number of churches. Of course these all have their own bells which ring every 15minutes or so bringing music to the town. At one point all four or so church bells must have been sounding and it was as though they were all trying to oust ring each other by playing the best tune. Was it the X-factor of bells perhaps??;-)
It is now 8pm and the weather outside is still quite mild. I'm hoping to reach the Dolomites tomorrow but only tomorrow will tell how far ...
Stranded in St Moritz
... tourist town but coming here out of season is a total dead loss and especially on a Sunday!! I cannot wait to get back on my bike and out of here!!!
Tomorrow the weather is suppose to be good and so I plan to head eastwards into Italy and the Dolomites. I only hope there is no more snow on the way but only time will tell.
Right, I’m getting back down to the hotel bar before that closes also!!!

Sunshine and snow in the Alps
... Getting to Chur meant heading over a few more wonderful passes, one of which starts right here in Andermatt and is called "Susten pass". Its only 2224m high but after what I saw yesterday and from the top of the mountain today it looked like it was going to be quite a challenge!!
Unlike yesterday when the weather was good, today it was mighty windy. Trying to make my way up the first section of the pass out of Andermatt was a nightmare!! The road winds and twists its way up ...
What a journey
... no English but another lady helped out. Stayed zermez then off to pontresina to catch the bernina express railway line. Ok know we have seen wonderful parts but this is even better. Got off train at ski ing area, cable car...gondola.. With all the snowboarders,skiers as season opened 20oct to diavolezza bernina 3000m.
