Day 10: Florence
... that didn't stop Mom, Dad, Tom and me from walking around the whole city while CJ worked on some schoolwork. We had a late start because we putzed around the apartment a bit and Mom and Dad found a cool market where they bought us some food for the next few days. When we ventured out, we walked out to Ponte Vecchio again (can't get enough of that bridge!) and over to the other side, where we had lunch, wine, and the first cannoli of the trip. Tonight
... put me on the inside and learned that my back pack can also be used as a leash haha Very sad indeed is that I accidentally deleted an entry (MY FIRST DAY:(((( ) so I lost it - I almost had it on my iPad but then thought it was safe and when I went back just a second later it had deleted :( I wish there was an undo button or a place to find the deleted ones to try to put it back in...perhaps on the actual online version I can find it! However, on seeing that the location for the return of our hire car was in the centre of the city and seeking advice from our host, we thought discretion was the better part of valour, so we organised for the hire car company to pick the car up from the hotel.

Fabulous Florence
... twice in the past and have never been here to see the original David so I want to sit and look at him for awhile. The statue really is amazing. After we admire the David we continue on through the Accademia, In both museums today we see quite a bit of medieval art and we begin to compare the figures of Christ on the cross and the baby Jesus'. Some we like and some...well, we question.
Saying goodbye to David, we decide it's time for some more gelato... of course, ...

... Lauren and I grabbed a sandwich and hung out for a bit before it was back to work... It stinks that my last week is getting spent doing homework...
Oh Well. I can't wait for Greece! Jackie and I are going to plan it this week! The World games are going to be so cool! Yay!!!
