... village is so peaceful. Later we go down to see Gilberto's mother and brother so I can say goodbye to them. They are very lovely people and I have enjoyed spending time with them as well this visit. They have a Christmas present for me that I'm not allowed to open until Christmas so that when I do, I think of them! Off for pizza for dinner and then home to pack my ...

Slow start to the day; a sleep in and late breakfast and then I have 3 days of blogs to catch up on! ... burst its banks and many places have some flooding. Driving further around the lake we then head up a hill and end up at a small restaurant called Rosso Lampone (red raspberry) which is in the countryside and has a restaurant, B&B and grows a range of berries. The building sits into the side of the hill and is quite modern (and we later find out it is a bit unfinished as the owners have run out of money). They have a small menu: 2 antipasto, 2 primo and ...

This is the saying I've taught Gilberto today. In case you can't guess..... It's very wet here at the moment. The plane trip was pretty good considering the distance. Both flights left on time and I even arrived early! So early in fact, I beat Gilberto to the airport. The plane was supposed to arrive at 8.30am this morning but we touched down at 8. The flight was only about a third full and ...
