... and a half with the vast majority of it in the mountains. One word - 'Amazing'. It is only a 5 minute walk to our B&B, and after just a little confusion we eventually meet the owner. The place is called 'Casa Angela' and funnily enough it's named after her. Angela welcomed us into our 'Appartment' for the night and offered us Coffee and Cake. Nice touch I thought. Well, today has been one of those rare days where everything went to plan. Our Hotel in Venice was absolutely first class in every respect. The location was just perfect, the place appears to have been recently renovated and the staff and management were fantastic. We had planned to catch the 8:25am Vaporetto out of Venice for the one hour long journey back to the airport to re unite with Travis but were just lucky enough to arrive at the Vaporetto station within minutes of ...

Today we picked up a rental car and headed for the mountains! As with many rentals, we got something bigger than we reserved because that was what they's not too big though, and so far it has treated us well. Grant is getting back into the hang of driving a stick shift and Bonnie is navigating us through the mountain roads. The scenery today was just beautiful. So much green! We saw tons of paragliders and a few hang gliders ...

... This is where we will settle for the night.

On Monday morning, we visit the nearby beach, which is nice but stony, and therefore not very comfortable. We each manage a swim and a snorkel, and then see a man in full diving costume emerging from the sea. He has a little float with him, a spear and a net of fish, so we can see he has been out to catch his lunch! After a quick shower we get on our way, driving on motorways to Ravenna. We stay in an aire near the town, but ...
