... version, has only 13k's on the clock when we picked it up. Back to Chamonix and we popped down to watch the Climbing World Cup. We were drinking a beer, sitting in the square and life was pretty grand. Check out the guy hanging on the Zlagboard. This was attracting all the macho-men. ... girlie and continue the walk. They reach the end after another three suspension bridges. The return journey only takes 40 minutes to get back to the girls. A walk we highly recommend. ... was delicious. First time I have ever had deer. This was one of the best meals I have ever had. Really didn't want the night to end.

After dinner we walked out into the darkness and saw the castle at the top of the mountain in town fully lit up. It might have been the wine talking but we decided to do a late night hike up to the top. The city opened up the higher we went and fortunately there was enough light coming off of the castle to shed a little light on the pathway. ...

... on the path we were greeted with a beautiful stream and ancient trees to guide us to the more interesting features of the hike. After another couple of kilometers the path narrowed and was cut into the side of a cliff. The rest of the route followed the side of a mountain with massive cable bridges overhanging 200+ foot drops. Julie wasn't thrilled initially as here fear of heights kicked in but it wasn't long ...
