... I struggled and could not make any headway on the meal. My main was Wild Boar stew a local delicacy. After stuffing ourselves we walked along the parapet at dusk for the Colonel to use up batteries on two cameras and take another 157 photos of doors. ... people and pigeons. I would guess that of all the people in the square, several thousand maybe, 99% would be tourists. Met up again and went for gondolier ride under Bridge of Sighs and round network of canals in central Venice. Serenaded by piano accordionist and singer. Ok. Not brilliant. Another busy day. The weather wasn't all that but with so many great things nearby we felt we should get out and about. We went to Caprorola via Lake Vico to see the Palazzo Farnese. The town wasn't up to much but the Palazzo was amazing. Old Farnese had some cash to spend on luxuries and it certainly shows in this Palazzo.
