... We do not disagree. Unfortunately for us they were engaged in restorative work on the exterior front. The inside was pristine. The church is rich with paintings and frescoes. In fact Mike (aka Michelangelo) reviewed the ceiling and wall art before painting the Sistine Chapel. Bird is also especially impressed with the alternating black and white stone work. ... and is still done by hand grinding /milling the olives between two huge stones to extract the oil . Very traditional. He was still waiting to pick his olives as he felt they weren't quite ready yet , so unfortunately we didn't see a press happening . His mill was amazing, lots of terracotta storage barrels in a deep underground cellar . Spotlessly clean , just waiting for those gorgeous green olives to start rolling in this year.

... us hey!!).Once you walk to the top of BagnoRegio, you catch your first view of Civita -the little crumbly village teetering on top of a layered cake , really does take your breath away.

After Lots of fractured Eng-Ital-ish, on our part, not a word of English on Anna's, we deciphered that she was going to cook us a 4 course meal , as well as pranza/ lunch for the 40 guests at the Agriturisimo !!!
She launched into the Pici pasta making, simple stuff it seems !! Not so, the amount of kneading required was amazing , then the rolling of the dough into ...

... to the one we got pulled over/pulled off the other day although this time there was no rain. We rode the high speed highway for 10 kms before I said to Kory I ain't doing this, it is madness, cars aren't expecting to see us on the road here and the side shoulder we were 'safely' cycling on was about to end.
