It took about 20 minutes to get our car, a small Nissan SUV. We had asked if this car had a big boot (trunk), and the Avis rep said it did, but it's not that much larger than the trunk in our little Volvo, but big enough.

A bit of shopping after that in a department store we'd also seen in Prague that we liked. David bought some new black shorts and a T.shirt to satisfy his T.shirt fetish and I found some funky tartan underwear to wear to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo! Don't need it, but was cute and I may as well stick with the theme....not that I plan on letting any of the locals see it haha.

We went to Goelitz and Bautzen this day. We didn't depart from our hotel until after 1pm. Goerlitz was about 1.5 hours from Dresden. We had only about an hour to walk in Gorlitz because mom wanted to visit Bautzen. What a rush!!!! We took the tram in Gorlitz... walked through a nice park... saw the river where Poland was on the opposite side... asked for directions from an old man across the street and he kindly stopped and crossed the road to help ...
