... around it. Dozens of restaurants but finally settled for a local beer in an ancient pub. Ate at an Italian restaurant recommended by the hotel which was very good and reasonable. We had all white linen and excellent waiters who provided nibbles to start and the whole bill was only €24 including drinks and tax. So not a bad ...
... around the Reindersmeer (think its a lake). Had a meal there too at Sluis Bosbrasserie just beside the national park entrance. Didnt know what I was eating until someone told me its veal. oops...nice food though. Then decided to head to Cologne as it was still early in the afternoon at 1.30pm
... the centre of Darmstadt. The artists designed their own houses and some peculiarly impractical yet fascinating public buildings. Much to the chagrin of Herr und Frau, I think I managed to have a pee against most of them.
