We arrived in Genoa early in the morning and this time we are berth at a dock with several other boats . it was quiet lovely coming into the port and I got what I hope is a lovely sunrise shot . I love the look of the town Geona. It is one of the Mediterranean greatest ports . It is typical of the area. Genoa is a city of contrasts. It is still very much a commercial and banking hub but its location invites tourists (like us) and cruise ships to stop for a few days. There is a small historic district but much of the city is relatively new. With lots of banks! Today, being Sunday, it was clear which came first. Very little was open. But we started out with a plan (I can hear those who know me well saying 'of ...

... the same owner or descendants. We took the motorway rather than coast road back 'home', where the entertainments team were preparing for 'Hawaiian Night'! It was good to see families having fun, just what David had experienced all those years ago but in a more modern setting. Indeed, a pitch a few along from us occupied by a group of Swiss people have been coming here for eight years and have already booked for next! History repeating ...
