          ... arms of the Danube. The major shipping channel is the ‘Sulina’ which is big enough for ocean going freighters. Between them is a network of channels and lakes and big nature preserves. We enjoyed looking at the serene landscape and saw lots of birds: white pelicans, egrets, herons, cormorants, swans, ducks and a water snake.

          After we ran through the cold and wind to get back on the ship, I warned Bruce that we probably wouldn't want to go on the 4 hour walking tour of Constanta, which is further north and forecast to be colder.
