    ... we met and then came back...not a lot to be said for this area except the Port and Shipping Canal was something to see but being on the A1, stopping to take pictures of massive container ships being load or unloaded as well as sailing under very high bridges may not the be the local Polizie's idea of sight seeing!

    We have six stops on this train and it won't be going very fast. I am on my way to the dining car and hope they have Bloody Marys. Nope! Only beer and wine offered on this train. The bathrooms were smelly, the chair cushions dingy and stained, seats don't recline and first class is really not much nicer than second class.We stopped and made a connection onto another regional train before getting to Bremen. We noticed once again that there wasn't much assistance. ...

    ... tradition and Eddie even wrote a song about it. This year…this Christmas things were a bit odd, being in a new country, not having my tree, and slowly realising that the tradition here means that trees don’t go up until the week before Christmas!!!

    Bremen, Germany. Had a leisurely breakfast. Ron worked on his tablet computer. I did some tidying and cleaning out of Monika's bathroom and kitchen of her apartment. It is cold and windy today.
