Well, to start it off.. The directions the hostel gave we're ****.. But luckily I found my way from the station. It was a quiet little hostel and I was put into a room with a little Chinese girl who could hardly speak English. I spent my first day wandering around, gazing at the amazing shop windows and, without a map, found myself in the middle of the city ...

... 3, weil die 2 leider geschlossen war. Die 3 war noch eine Spur schwerer, weil sich viel schneller Berge aufgetürmt haben. Am spaßigsten war nun allerdings die Leute unter sich zu beobachten. In dem Raum werden irgendwie die Druckverhältnisse verändert, weil das Ganze sonst nicht funktionieren würde.
Das war zweifellos die beste Ausstellung, in der ich je war und hat den Ausflug sehr gut abgeschlossen. Schweren Herzens sind wir dann wieder gefahren, standen am Flughafen ...
First Stop
... awaited us and wrapped us up in luxury (I could get spoiled). We spent but one night as we wanted to get on to Cinque Terre as soon as possible.
But we did manage to cover some ground in Milan. The hotel was centrally located so it was only a few steps to both the Cathedral as well as La Scala. We were able to walk to both and even walk around quite a bit. We discovered the Africa Curio (www.africacurio.com) Gallery ...

Last night, my friend Dorian and I went out for Thanksgiving dinner. It was actual quite a process to figure out the whole deal, but we made it work and I am so thankful that it did!

Lake Maggiore
... are all on western side of lake. Beautiful sunny day and very calm on the lake. Lots of lovely villas by the lake. Car ferry across lake to Laveno and finally train back to Milan. Hard to believe tomorrow is my last day in Europe... for this trip ...
