... the waterline with towering steep hills surrounding. We park outside the town limits - as that is the rule (unless you want to pay heaps to put car in a five story car park). No tourist info open and it is very quiet so we set about locating walking path start. wE can see it as we walk down the hill, first start is a false one as the track is rough, treacherous and winds through private garden plots. We turned round and headed back to the train station and campsite to pack up and move on. I managed to find a patch of free sand in the public beach, and chilled out with my beer, enjoying my last afternoon in Monterosso and the Cinque Terre.

After an hour or so I headed back to have a shower and get changed so I could make the "4-7pm free ...

    ... snowy Mountains behind that.

We had just under an hour for our connection in Genoa and we needed to get some cash which was across the road via a big intersection. The weather had packed up a bit so we had to negotiate wheeling our bags under one single umbrella! Whilst we were heading across the road to the hotel with an ATM in the lobby we saw groups of young men with flags meeting with others and then singing. Oh we thought - a sports game? When we got to ...
