    We left Italy today to travel to Strasbourg via Switzerland. Had to pay 35 euro at boarder control for a window sticker and was warned then "this is Switzerland, it's expensive". It's beautiful but overpriced and overrated. There s lots of ...

    ... a cycling show somewhere.

    So we jumped on a train and headed back to Solothurn. By the
    time we found the cycle shop in Solothurn it was also closed, this time for
    lunch. We settled down for a drink before returning to get the puncture fixed.
    Day gone!!!

    After lunch at camp we decided to go for a swim in the
    river. The water must be about 18 degrees, very refreshing.

    ... to various famous people from the town’s past. At the entrance to the
    gorge, there lives a solitary monk who supposedly looks after the spirituality
    of the area. A real fairy home.

    From here Corinne took me to another part of town where her late
    Grandparents used to live and showed me where she had crashed her tricycle when
    she was a young child.

    ... we would have had to pay, so we came out in front, which cheered up the accountant.

    This was at the railway station, and we were able to check all our bags onto our flight to Hong Kong later this evening, as well as getting our boarding passes. Very efficient.
