    A bit more of the same but with the excitement of an excursion into the interior of the island. Things didn't go that well even though I had things planned to the minute. Local bus €1.60 per trip, leaves from main square, stop at Messaria, walk to the old village of Vothanos and see the cave houses. Return. I think we saw a cave house in the distance. Yet to be developed as a true tourist destination. ...

    ... told a few of us to pretend we are walking the mountain and they should just let us on. So we did this we walked right to the front of the line and they just put us on straight away. Here I was thinking the donkey ride would be a nice peaceful ride up the mountain, but how wrong was I.
