    ... than I was expecting. It reminded me of a mix of Nice and Monaco. There was a long stretch of beach like in Nice (but much sandier), and a big port filled with huge, fancy yachts like in Monaco. It appears that the Cote d’Azur is the rich kids play ground.

    ... deal and found one close by. When we ordered the American breakfast with eggs and bacon we were told that it was not available as they were short a chef till lunch. So it was the French breakky - croissant, baguette, jam, butter, fresh orange juice and coffee. As they say, do as the French do.     ... holiday driving like he had driven to Nice a million times. Post paying tolls, and having to merge from about ten lanes back into three, with no lane markings or sense of order? No problems! After a quick circuit, I opted for an empty blackjack table (rather than others which were 2 to 3 people deep).
