    We drove through Pescasseroli at the beginning of May when we were trying to find somewhere to refill our gas cylinder. At that time we found a petrol station that had the right connection to be able to fill it with the gas used in cars.

    We headed to the same petrol station to get a refill but this time it was a big no no. The attendant indicated that it was illegal – oh well.

    ... keep the kids safe given the number of strangers around us; we put strips of tape on the outside of the doors once it was curfew with directions to not come out or answer the door unless they heard our preplanned code word.
