... see it all. We had a 2pm lunch in a restaurant that sold us the most delicious Barbera D'Asti, €15 to have with lunch and €11 to takeaway, how could we resist. It accompanied a delicious lunch of bollito and scallopina con limone. We made it home just in time, there was a massive thunderstorm and we were inside and ...

... I'm sure the countryside would be lovely. I think there's lakes around here somewhere but difficult with no car. So for lunch I had lasagne. You can tell it's all made with fresh pasta. ... people- who can resist? The only bad thing is the crazy driving custom! Pompeii was another incredible historical site. As you walk through the excavated site, down the actual roads, looking at what remains of a functioning city, Mount Vesuvius looms like a lord in the background. No escaping his authority or the inherent threat that he can repeat his destructive performance at any moment. Lives snuffed out in a ...

... surprising that we were the only visitors there for most of time. Then we continued down the hill to where the lower level of the temple was (it has five levels) to the main square of the town and the location of the Duomo. The Duomo is built using a wing jutting out from the main temple, but it has been substantially altered over the years. Inside it is very nice, but the main reason we visited is that on one side is ...
