It is easy to see why so many rich Chileans spend their holidays here. So green and clean. Visited the flower clock and took a stroll along the beach.

Kicking off at 9am, our guide CJ and driver Oscar drove us along the highway passing by toll booths and vineyards on the way to Vina deal Mar and Valparaiso. The landscape was dry and dusty with many mountains. Leading to the sea port city of vina deal mar where we drove by some lovely areas including green and flower filled plazas and and the …

I was fortunate enough to see the amazing views of the city from Cerro Santa Lucia and San Cristobal on perfectly clear days. We took the funicular train up San Cristobal and then walked down the side of the mountain. This particular winery was famous for their champagne but had several other wines as well. Chile has several winery regions and are world famous for their wines. This ...

... had recommended to us (Cafe del Poeta). Inside there was a cosy atmosphere and a large cabinet with a selection of teas and tea based memorabilia. Sat against the wall on the right hand side were the statues of Gabriela Mistral and Pablo Neruda opposite each other looking deep in conversation. This was our first opportunity to experience Onces and it was certainly a good one. For the equivalent of 5 each we feasted on toasted sandwiches, juice, tea and cake and we left ...
