Munich
We arrived in Munich in the evening and we had just got to our hotel when another thunderstorm started. We watched it from the window a bit.
The next day we headed out to catch Mike's Bike Tour of the city, but managed to get lost and miss the start time. It was raining, so we headed to the Deutches Museum. Birthdays & Beers!
... back to our room I had quite the surprise when the hotel had left me a card and birthday cake ….an entire chocolate cake covered in raspberries and blackberries.
Sunshine, beers, naked men and chocolate cake…even without the shopping it was a pretty amazing birthday!
Woke up to rain this morning, at least the majority of it will be spent on the train.

Go for the Gold
... It was a 4.5 hr drive (which is a ton better than the 8.5 hr train ride I had to take to get back to Oestrich-Winkel). We drove on the autobahn. Due to heavy traffic, it’s hard to drive fast. In fact, even when there wasn’t so much traffic, the fastest most people drove was only about 100kmhr. So all that hype over the autobahn is just that: hype.
