    ... at a plant nursery because they had a special open day. What an amazing nursery - they have all the beautiful trees and plants that grow well in this climate as well as a surprising collection of exotics - cactus, bougainvilla, citrus trees and palms. Many people here have sunrooms so I imagine they create exotic indoor gardens to get them through the snow time.

    ... opening session # 2 ensued. Once again, Santa (who even sent an email to explain) was mindful for the need to fit things back into suitcases and so things were kept to a minimum.

    ... We ended the day with a family run down a red together. Trystan’s control came to the fore as he played ‘mother duck’ at the front of the line and I made the most of my strengths by being the one that got to shoot off ahead to catch any child how broke formation and worked up a bit too much speed.

    It’s been such a fantastic week… really the best… and blessedly injury free ...

    ... I knew that if I fell over it would be ugly! I actually went so fast that my skis didn’t even float over the bank but dug straight through (you know… like when you dive under a big dumper wave at the beach because you know you won’t float over it.)
