... extra letters. It has 8 vowels: a, ä, e, i, o, ö, u, ü. There is one more consonant ß, or sharp S. I think the pronunciation would be very difficult for me and Andi says that the grammar is significantly more confusing than English's. (Yes I am aware 'English's is not a real word.)

... and the occasional changing room cubicle scattered amongst them. Then if you need a toilet there is just small unisex toilets. Showers are open apparently; I didn't see for myself. Once you've changed, you have to try and claim a deck chair to put your towel on. I didn't quite get that, but Andi insisted.

... lay of the land. I finally have a kitchen and a room of own. I got my Canadian flag up and my Doctor Who stuff put away (sorry not sorry), oh and I guess I put my clothes away too. We'll see what it looks like in a week though (mom, if reading this, it will be clean). As of today, I have been here for a week and it has been a whirlwind of new experiences, new people, new food and new languages. I can't wait for the next few ...

... t an indicator. But I guess carrying a hockey bag for 8 years finally paid off.

The best part was that the bus basically took me back to where my plane from Calgary originally landed (woo!) But I made it, sweaty mess and al. The captain has informed me that it is "winter in Graz at -2" (that's cute). Also remind me to fly Lufthansa all the time, they don't serve dinky pretzels you have to share with 10 other people, you get an entire...sandwich.

... 24th) we decided to get dressed up and have a classy evening at a local restaurant and wine bar, Pusswald. The food was beautiful. And the wine was lovely! We ended up spending (and drinking) far too much but it was a great night out! Saturday - Sheepishly had breakfast.
