It is imperative to keep our fitness up whilst travelling so we hire mountain bikes that have been used in the Dacha rally then had addition of seats made to slice you in half. Lovely, we cycle and whinge our way around the lake being taken over by Great Grandparents in Lykra. The highlight is a FAB lunch served by the cutest looking Austrian in leather Lederhosens looking over the lake with elegant white swans. Life is perfect even if we can’t ...

Six stops later we arrived at the very new station. Lots of shops, easy directions to follow. We went to the OBB first class lounge to wait for the IC 548 to Salzburg, the lounge was new, a pleasant helpful front desk person, a wide variety of refreshments and nibbles, plenty ...

... itinerary, Lake Altaussee. It was a rather small and isolated lake. I almost gave up on going before I coaxed the lazy Shirley away. The walk was pleasant and the path was popular with weekend joggers, trekkers and dog walkers alike, so I ...
