... as I could but had to get breaks from time to time to eat a bar or breathe a little. Towards the end I witnessed a marvelous sunset over the river though, but the nightfall worried me a bit, as I was still at least 15k away from my target campsite. ... rode steadily uphill, around 1 km at about 10%, whew! Lana was knackered at the top but I went on, another 500 meters at 12% to the old castle. What a castle! Apparently it was the largest ever castle in Central Europe but was abandoned, blown up and generally fell into disrepair. ... and as a way to provide adequate living spaces including indoor plumbing (and sometimes balconies) for families. During the Soviet regime construction was simplified using premade sections transported to the site. We stopped for lunch in Stramberk, a charming mountain village with several restaurants and shops. Four of us lunched in a cafe, walked around town, and tried ...
