There are fast running rivers through the town and old bridges cross the rivers which are like stop gates and the waters gush through at enough speed that a surfer was surfing the waves.     ... metric system, Celsius instead of farenheight, and they write their dates DD-MM-YY instead of MM-DD-YY. Personally I think every one of these things make more sense than the way we do them in the US but that's just me

    -Having an e-book is an invaluable tool. Downloading trip guides onto it and reading them on the train, without fear of the battery running out (some trains have outlets, most don't), is great. Battery lasts forever on them

    ... eastern people. There were heaps of Swiss watch shops, Swiss Army knives and very cute souvenir shops with Heidi's, Goats Peter, St Bernard's and cows all on display. The next day we awoke to the best breakfast of our whole trip. Whilst we got spanked with the hotel price (although the cheapest in Interlaken) we enjoyed the most over indulgent breakfast experience.     ... We reunited for a lovely walk down and a snowball fight on the way. The munchkins ended up very wet and muddy!! After a (too short) rest this afternoon we took the boat into Interlaken - such a grand old boat it was and she went at a fair rate of knots too! After getting off the boat it was all a bit of a disAster - kids just too fractious to do anything with. Chose somewhere for dinner which was just awful and missed the bus home ...
