      ... and during the first run the light conditions were very flat. This meant that we could not see any detail on the floor so we were having to compensate for bumps, holes and powder snow as we ran into them. There was a large amount of fresh snow on the hill which made the conditions good for skiing but the flat light made this easy snow an essential for survival rather than the icing on the cake.

Grindelwald is in the bottom left of the map and you can see the route lit up with green lights, up via Schreckfeld to First at 2168m. It was a very long gondola ride with spectacular views.       ... entrance is via an inclined lift section hollowed out in the rock. All of this is to the usual Swiss standard i.e. quality concrete, very substantial walkways and handrails plus double insulated electrics and lots of Earth bonding wires, just in case.

      ... 3,000 metres above sea level. Piz Gloria is the final stop where there is a revolving restaurant and a 360 degree viewing platform. Well i thought the views were impressive yesterday, well these are just so mush better. This is where the bond film was shot, so there is lots of bond stuff to see.
