Adriatic Circle Adventure 30-10-14 Darmstadt to Lauterbrunnen
After a rather poor night sleep in the rip-off hotel I packed my boxes and headed downstairs to the restaurant area for breakfast. Just walking around in this hotel one felt rather strange. A cold morning.... I remember thinking it wasn't bad when I went to bed... And decided to sleep in my sleeping bag without jeans or a t-shirt or jumper on... Not even socks. But that cost me. I woke at about 2am and found a t-shirt, and then kept on snuggling up to Emma during the night to try to keep warm.... BUGGER it was cold!

Cooking with everyone was so much fun and we made a great meal of pesto pasta, salad, and hamburgers. ... had a hot chocolate in the café at the bottom as we waited for our bus to Lauterbrunnen. The bus trip home we shared with a beautiful black Labrador. We love that dogs are allowed everywhere, cable cars, buses, cafes. They are all very well behaved.

... the lake at the top called Oeschinensee, got some water from a waterfall that was comming from high up off the mountain, tasted pretty good! Writing this on the train back into Spiez, knackered! Maybe kayaking on the lake and a ferry trip to Brienz tomorrow, then ill be making my way up to Gimmelwald to stay in a mountain hostel high up in the sky ...
